Description

The sound of rainfall is a very calming sound for me.

I painted this after imaging the sound of light rain hitting the window screen of a car or the window looking out to a garden.

Imagining the sound as a painting.

The rhythms of the water contacting a hard surface, the trickle of raindrops collecting one by one until so many of them gather to leave a trail on the glass window. This is a very soothing sound and the visual experience of watching the raindrops collect brings memories of my childhood. I tried to capture these feelings in this work.

I'm naturally drawn to exploring and celebrating the things that bring joy, delight, and peace through my art. I find inspiration in nature, Buddhist and Zen philosophy, and the small pockets of joy in modern life.

Does this art work need a frame?

In many cases, art works with a canvas stretched over a wooden frame can be displayed as is. Thin art works other than canvases are easier to frame. For any questions or concerns please chat us.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
